I got around to reading "The Stranger" by Alber Camus so here's my thoughts on it.

Im not the best at analyzing books but what i can say is that meursalt is autistic asf. I cannot count the amount of times in the book he complained about the heat. It got to the point where he was so overstimulated from it that he killed a man, which is reasonable because heat anger is a very real thing. Plus he has zero guilt from killing a man and zero guilt helping his friend trap the arab girl.

But i do like how he lives his life. He goes to work, focuses on the present, does little pleasures like going out to eat, staring from the balcony, or going to the beach. he sits with his thoughts and is happy with very little. I can really relate to that because i thinks its true, you dont need much to be happy, at least in the present moment. All you need is a good show, or a good book, a good meal.

Being woke however, albert camus was racist so the book could also be like “i killed an algerian but ay nothing matters amirite who cares yk its just an algerian”

it was a pretty good short read. Idk if i should be happy or scared that i relate to the mc alot, but yeah.
